Marissa Alejandra Martinez Suarez is a student at the University of Denver, triple majoring in Spanish, History, and Political Science with a minor in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies. She is also a dual degree student at Morgridge College of Education in the Masters in Teacher Education. Marissa is a first-generation immigrant and student with a passion for education justice. Having experienced the inequities and injustices of the education system designed to explicitly exclude, she hopes to bridge the opportunity gap and bring more representation. In the future, she hopes to become an educator and continue to work with and serve her broader Colorado community.
